Responsibilities
  • Weekly quota
    • Communication with show teams/producer both in Toronto and Burbank to ensure weekly quotas and client expectations are met.
    • ALP’s strategize solutions to any quota/inventory concerns raised by departments weekly
  • Department partnership
    • The Assistant Line Producer is responsible for overseeing the management of the conversion departments. Department managers for the five departments report to the Assistant Line Producer in regards to show priorities and department productivity.
  • Resource/Show Closeout strategizing
    • Is responsible for overseeing and monitoring department productivity/staffing. Working with the Line Producer to make adjustments as needed to ensure a timely output of material & meet client driven delivery dates and weekly quotas.
  • Pune Facility communication of priorities
    • Has regular communication w/Pune LP’s to facilitate inventory/quota/priority concerns
  • This role requires an intimate knowledge of our internal conversion pipeline
  • The assistant line producer is responsible for show closeout reporting during reel locks
  • The assistant Line producer oversees and monitors the department reporting that is sent out on a regular basis to producers and middle management
  • Late shifts and weekend shifts will be required for multiple project deliveries each season
  • Plans & Posts appropriate close out & weekend coverage for both creative and production
  • The assistant Line producer will work closely with the Line Producer to develop new reporting/ workflows/ efficiencies where needed.
  • Partner with the second Assistant Line producer to appropriately balance workload between show closeouts.
Qualifications
  • Proven leader in setting department direction
  • Have at least one year of production management experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Must be detail-orientated, multi-tasking, self-directed, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be resourceful, able to adapt to new situation, and to work in a fast –paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Must be constantly seeking to improve efficiency and quality of film closeout and production
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/ or weekends to meet project deadlines
 
Summarization
Overall the Assistant Line Producer is responsible for managing the productivity assumptions and the closeout of projects through the five conversion departments. This individual will report directly to the Conversion Line Producer and have a close working relationship with the second Assistant Line Producer.

Main Responsibilities 
• Under the guidance of the Post Production Supervisor, tracks progress of tasks for assigned Editor.
• Maintains production tracking system with revisions, omits, and shot length changes; notifies the affected crew as needed.
• Partners with other production personnel to ensure editorial timelines are up to date.
• Follows up with Editors on a daily basis to ensure tasks remain on schedule; communicates any schedule changes to appropriate Artist Leads, Supervisors and Production team as needed.
• Coordinates all client deliveries with Production and Editorial team.
• Responsible for multiple dailies sessions each day, as well as client reviews.
• Taking clear and accurate notes in all dailies and review sessions, and disseminating notes to all necessary parties and within production software.
• Generates and maintains editorial reports.
• Generally providing overall editorial support to the production management team.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications or related field preferred.
• 2+ years proven production experience.
• Demonstrable experience in highly technical, dynamic departments is a must.
• Experience with heavy schedule management in a very time sensitive atmosphere.
• Must be diligent, resourceful, meticulous and able to thrive under pressure.
• Thorough understanding of CG/VFX production pipelines, software packages and post-production is essential.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail coupled with exceptional people skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong project management skills and a sensitivity towards deadline related deliveries.
• Must be able to handle multiple changing priorities in a dynamic environment and understand how this impacts departmental schedules. 
• Able to communicate effectively across multiple teams with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills are required; with particular emphasis on Production Tracking Software and Asset Management, Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Office, and standard PC applications. 
• Knowledge of editorial software, ie. Avid, Premiere, Final Cut is a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of stereoscopic production and 2D/3D conversion a plus

• Taking clear and accurate notes in all dailies and review sessions, and disseminating notes to all necessary parties and within production software.
• Generates and maintains production reports; including nightly production updates for assigned projects.
• Generally providing overall production support to the production management team.

Stereo D has an immediate opening for a Production Manager/Department Manager:
 
Overview: The Job of the Department Manager is to oversee that all tasks for the day/week are completed with the near-term goal of hitting quota by the end of the week while maintaining a long-view on the efficiency and development of the department. This includes partnering with the assistant Department manager to coordinate the rest of the department staff as well as working with the Line Producer and other department managers to meet the daily/weekly goals of their department.
 
 
Specific Responsibilities include:
 
Department inventory management and planning. including interdepartmental communication to identify needed inventory.
  • Work with department Supervisor to determine artist allocation for shows and weekly output goals
  • Work with editorial department on creating and adjusting the dailies schedule
  • Coordinate trailers and show closeouts within department to meet client deadlines
  • Department reporting on projected artist output and daily approvals
  • Be able to have an offset schedule during busier times to help deepen our coverage
  • Create schedules for the production team based on posted hours.
  • Being aware of what the pulse of the floor and adapt to any issues as they arise
  • Problem solve with the assistant department manager for whatever roadblocks come about throughout the week
  • Responsible artist and production team’s performance tracking and management.
  • Communicate with upper management daily/ weekly issues beyond immediate responsibilities.
  
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in a production environment (TV/FILM/MEDIA)
  • Experience in a production leadership capacity with ability to influence and motivate staff
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must be detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with ability to prioritize tasks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage, categorize and direct all incoming assets as they are handed off from Data.
  • Responsible for extracting a copy of each original asset turned over by a client or an external vendor and injecting it into an active, artist accessible location on the studios servers.
  • Accountable for accurate reception of new assets, as well as effective and efficient digital notification that each can move forward in the pipeline.
  • Generate weekly reports Turnover Trackers and Change Logs for accounting and client reporting purposes.
  • Tag all incoming assets as deemed by production.
  • Report any issues with incoming assets to Ingest Manager.
  • Kickoff deliveries when prompted by production.
  • Work with Render and Pipe to help resolve any issues that arise during the process.
  • QC delivery packages- manifest, QTs, DPXs.
  • Send upload requests to Data and notify respective teams and/or client when complete.
 
Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of CG production pipelines, software packages and post-production preferred.
  • Editorial understanding and background desired.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
